Die Mitglieder der Fachgruppe Astrofotografie haben sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die zahlreichen, von Auge meist nicht sichtbaren astronomischen Objekte abzubilden und deren Natur sichtbar zu machen. Unterschiedliche Aufnahmeverfahren oder Vergleiche mit früheren Aufzeichnungen liefern wertvolle Erkenntnisse über die Eigenschaften der Objekte und deren zeitlichen Veränderungen. Nebst der Anwendung bewährter Aufnahme- und Bildbearbeitungstechniken engagieren sich die Mitglieder auch in der Evaluation neuer Methoden. Dank der ästhetischen Veranschaulichung und Sichtbarmachung der astronomischen Objekte tragen die Mitglieder der Fachgruppe wesentlich dazu bei, das Verständnis über Natur und Kosmos in der breiten Bevölkerung zu verbreiten und zu stärken.
i didnt have much free time last month because of those tons of homework and exam preparation. but still i could wake up a little bit earlier and grab a tiny little object.

I like the 3 images! The colorful one is great, as it shows the multiple layers of "things that happen in the sky", but the comet is still very well visible . And I like the close-up shot, it shows very well the shaded region inside the comet's tail, and the crossing clouds make for an interesting abstract composition.

Very nice! Love the interaction of the small clouds going one direction and the "sky" going in the other. I also like the fact that it goes "counterintuitively": when you see a comet your brain says "the tails means this thing is flying where the point is", but then you remember you're on a ball of mud that spins in the wrong direction.
